Walls

I myself used to love to get mad and hold on to my grudges. Holding my grudges made me feel protected. My grudge helped me to guard my hurt and protect it from ever being subjected to that offense. What started out as my shield of anger had become walls of grudges and eventually transformed in to a fortress of un-forgiveness; trapping me and my hurt inside. Just me and my hurt. No one could get to us. We can’t prevent our emotions and pride from being hurt and offended. However, our spirit has conquered our emotions and pride. We must exercise forgiveness as a choice until our spirit man is stronger than our flesh man. Just as it was difficult to pass on the cookies and French fries for a salad the first time, if we continue to choose the healthy foods we begin to crave them. Build your appetite for Godliness by choosing to forgive. No one said it was easy. It’s GODLY. No one said it was natural. It’s supernatural. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us and is made perfect in our weakness. This is our reasonable service.

Today ladies, choose to forgive.
Be beauty for ashes.

  1. Beautifully written. This truth is not new, but it was nice to be reminded and encouraged so eloquently.

    Thanks!
