Would it be such a radical idea for us to fall in love with being around ourselves? What causes a woman with such a full life to feel so lonely? When we feel like there is no one on our team? When we feel like it’s so painful it’s difficult to even cry? When we feel misunderstood, betrayed, offended? When we feel like we have to care about so many others and no one really cares about us?

The other day I was trying to have a pity party about it and I realized God wouldn’t let me. All of those scriptures my big know-it-all mouth is always telling other people kept raining in on and disrupting my party. “Let’s see loneliness as a time out. It’s quite time for me and you. It’s time to pray. No one is looking, go ahead and cry. Tears are cleansing. You don’t have anyone to talk to so take this time to reflect on the thoughts in your mind you have been too busy entertaining people and task managing to deal with. You have nowhere to go this weekend so sleep in, since you’re always so exhausted. It’s time to hit the reset button and reconnect revived.”

That was too mature of a thought to be my own. I’m convinced that God took everyone away so he could spend time with me.

Today ladies, let’s talk to Him.

Be Beauty for ashes.

  1. Your sharing this morning made me realize/remember actually that God cares for us and he knows we can handle it; so, quit my pity partying and get on with it! Thanks for sharing my dear! We must be obedient to the Holy Spirit which allows us that down time and we must take advantage of it all to the glory of God!
